Welcome to Harmonic Humanity

Special Event August 26th

Thank you for visiting Harmonic Humanity. We are a grassroots, outreach organization that has been serving homeless adults and at risk youths in the Bay area. Our organization was started in 2005, as a music empowerment program in a soup kitchen in Seattle Washington. The mission of the program at that time was to inspire and support homeless individuals through music.

In 2007 the program expanded into an experimental entreprenurial program that provides social and financial support for homeless individuals, by producing compilation CD’s for them to sell and profit from as street vendors. The CD’s of conscious artists, come together in harmony to help others, are given to the vendors for $1, then resold by them for $10, earning them $9 per CD profit which they keep 100% of.

The program, which has made the news, offers an alternative to drug dealing and crime, and facilitates self empowerment, self investment and positive community interaction. In addition, we share transformation principles and work hard to hold individuals in support of their new emerging stories of abundance and self empowerment.

We are currently seeking community support to help expand our mission. If you are able to make a donation today, please do so by clicking the donation button on this page. Your donation will greatly help. If you would like to start a Harmonic Humanity chapter in your city contact us at weareallmusic@harmonichumanity.org

If you would like to help in other ways, we are always looking for conscious artists to collaborate with, volunteers and people to carry the message of what we are doing into their communities.

Help our music movement today and help change the life of a person living on the streets. Donate on this page, email us at weareallmusic@harmonichumanity.org or call us at 206-854-8131.

HF meets HH street Teams 3

This year Harmonic Humanity joined forces with Harmony Festival, to not only create awareness about homelessness, the work of Harmonic Humanity and the conscious music festival which was held June 11th – 13th, but to also employ homeless and recently homeless individuals at the festival.

Harmonic Humanity will produce a 2nd CD to be entitled “Relief” later this year in an effort to spread the vendor job program across the country and around the world via the International Street Paper movement.

Harmony Festival Programming Director Sean Ahearn shares, “I love what Harmonic Humanity is doing, utilizing the power of music to inspire hope and healing, while creating a new economic model to empower individuals.  This represents an amazing opportunity to take the concept of street team outreach and micro-finance to a whole new level.  Imagine empowered individuals on the streets collaborating with a sense of purpose on common goals that have day-to-day economic impact!”

Harmonic Humanity – Changing Lives One Song at a Time

Harmonic Humanity, was started in 2005 by AJ Lovewins, a formerly homeless man, as a music program at a soup kitchen in Seattle Washington. The program, which grew with the help of a steady stream of conscious musicians with a desire to reach out, focused on inspiring people with music, bringing community together, troubleshooting the needs of people living on the streets and fostering transformation in the lives of homeless youths and adults.

Since that time, altruistic music lovers, community activists and conscious organizations, activated by the belief that music and love can change lives, have come together to help the grassroots organization to grow.

From soup kitchens, to homeless encampments, to marches on the streets, at festivals and on CD’s, these individuals and their service to the cause continue to make the difference in the lives of  people in need.

But community support is needed…

“Harmonic Humanity’s self help music outreach program, provides individuals  the opportunity to earn more money for themselves in less than a week, than state welfare gives them in a month.”

It’s a win win for all.

This positive alternative to drugs and crime is a  proven way to get to that next step of stability, self worth and success for individuals living on the streets and helps them to take care of there basic needs; food, hygene, rent, phone bills, clothing, health needs and more…

The project has been supported by NASNA (North American Street Paper Movement) The Real Change Newspaper in Seattle and by the Coalition on Homelessness / Street Sheet in San Francisco as well as by What’s up Magazine in Saint Louis. The program is growing, catching the attention of outreach organizations and street papers across the country.

How it works?

The freedom of speech laws, which street papers and their vendors across the nation are protected by, allow homeless individuals to buy the “conscious word-in-song” music  CD’s for $1 (which touch on related issues) and legally resell them for $10 on the streets, keeping all of the profit…

The CD’s support the papers, vice-versa and help carry vital messages, important views and opinions related to the epidemic of homelessness in our nation and create solutions around how we as a community can change it.

If you would like to support this project or are a vendor in need of assistance, contact us at
