Jason Mraz Hosts Harmonic Humanity Benefit Celebration
This video is a full-length highlight of an unforgettable night hosted by Jason Mraz in celebration of Harmonic Humanity. The evening was filled with magic from start to finish, featuring live performances from Ace of Cups, Luc & the Lovingtons, and a powerful solo set by Jason himself — including a few never-before-heard songs.
The event brought together incredible collaborators such as The Goodness Tour, Lava Mae, and the Homeless Prenatal Program, all united in a shared mission to uplift and empower the homeless community. A private VIP screening with Jason Mraz, Joseph Jacques, and Luc Reynaud added a personal and heartfelt touch to the night.
This benefit marked a pivotal moment for Harmonic Humanity, and we extend a special thank you to Jason for giving our grassroots organization a beautiful lift forward. We are forever grateful.

Rodney McClaine – From Homelessness to Hope

In this intimate and inspiring interview, Rodney shares his personal journey — the challenges he faced on the streets, and how Harmonic Humanity’s supportive, dignity-based approach gave him the tools and opportunity to rebuild his life. His story is a powerful testament to the impact of art, empowerment, and human connection.

Outreach Walk – Serving the Streets of San Francisco During COVID
This video captures Joseph Jacques, Co-Founder of Harmonic Humanity, leading a courageous team of counselors, psychotherapists, and social workers on one of our monthly outreach walks to serve those living on the streets of San Francisco.
This particular walk took place during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic — as seen by the masks — at a time when most people were staying indoors. But not Harmonic Humanity.
For nearly 6 years, our team showed up every month to bring connection, support, and dignity to those society often overlooks. This footage is a testament to the power of community and service, even in the most uncertain times. A heartfelt thank you to the volunteers who gave their time, compassion, and courage to a cause greater than themselves.

The Goodness Tour – Music, Healing & Collaboration
This video highlights The Goodness Tour, a powerful collaboration between Luc & the Lovingtons and Harmonic Humanity, as they embarked on a ticketless tour from Seattle to Los Angeles. Performing in homeless shelters, tent cities, hospitals, and directly on the streets, the tour brought music therapy, inspiration, and Harmonic Humanity’s HERO CDs to those most in need — especially individuals seeking employment and healing through art.
The video features a heartfelt conversation between Luc Reynaud and Joseph Jacques, reflecting on their shared experiences from the road — how they met, built trust, and discovered that collaboration was the key to lasting impact.
This tour wasn’t about stages or spotlights — it was about presence, purpose, and meeting people where they are.

The Road Trip of Love – A Call to Action
This video documents The Road Trip of Love — Harmonic Humanity’s nationwide call to expand its mission to 10 of the cities most affected by homelessness and poverty. The goal: to raise $100,000 to fund a tour that would deliver HERO music CDs and Be Love postcards directly into the hands of those in need.
These items weren’t just gifts — they were economic lifelines. In each city, local unhoused individuals could use the products to generate up to $110,000 in self-earned income through direct distribution, creating both financial opportunity and community connection. Across 10 cities, the potential impact exceeded $1 million in grassroots revenue, offering dignity, purpose, and possibility through Harmonic Humanity’s model.
Featuring heartfelt support from Jason Mraz, Michael Franti, and others who believed in the mission, this video is a powerful reminder of what becomes possible when creativity, compassion, and community come together for change.

Joining him on harmonica was Blane Lyon, who, despite undergoing chemotherapy at the time and unable to sing, poured his spirit into every note with his mouth harp. Their collaboration brought the house to its feet, moving every soul in the room — there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
This performance is a shining example of courage, soul, and the healing power of music. It’s a must-see moment that embodies the heart of Harmonic Humanity’s mission.

Teaching the Power of Giving – Harmonic Humanity at USF
This video features AJ Lovewins and Joseph Jacques, co-founders of Harmonic Humanity, visiting the University of San Francisco (USF) to teach students about the life-changing impact of giving back from the heart.
As guest instructors for the Organizational Dynamics class, they led a heartfelt workshop followed by an outreach walk through the streets of San Francisco, giving students a direct experience of compassion in action. The walk wasn’t just an activity — it was a powerful rite of passage, offering tools of empathy, connection, and purpose that the students will carry with them throughout their lives.
This video captures the essence of Harmonic Humanity’s deeper mission: empowering the next generation to lead with love, serve with integrity, and never forget the power of human connection.

Harmonic Humanity is a nonprofit organization founded in 2009 with a mission to create jobs and pathways to dignity for people experiencing homelessness. It pioneered a street-vendor program that distributed music CDs—featuring tracks donated by Grammy-winning artists—as a means of income for unhoused individuals. For over a decade, Harmonic Humanity has also mobilized therapists, life coaches, and volunteers to offer free counseling directly on the streets, and has provided small grants to support individuals in their recovery and reintegration journeys.
Currently, the organization is in a reimagining phase, transitioning its music-based jobs program into a fully digital format to expand its reach and impact in the years ahead.
